*A grade of an E must be a result of circumstances outside of the control of that student and his/her family.

Participation (35%)

Considerations for evaluating participation must be appropriate and consistent regardless of the learning model - full in-person, hybrid or full distance learning

Simply attending a synchronous learning session will not count towards participation. Conversely, inability to attend in a synchronous learning session cannot be held against a student.

Considerations that meet the standard of active participation include, but are not limited to:

Contributing to academic discourse (i.e. in-person, Google Meet, commenting/messaging, etc.)

Active engagement of the learning process

Completion of assigned tasks, activities and/or assignments, including homework**
